SK Energy runs Ulsan PP line at 100%

SINGAPORE (ICIS news)--SK Energy has ramped up operating rates at its 170,000 tonne/year polypropylene (PP) plant at Ulsan to 100%  after restarting it last Friday (21 March), a company source said on Monday.

The plant was shut down on 10 March for a scheduled turnaround, the source said.

Its other PP line, which also has a capacity of 170,000 tonnes/year, was running normally, he said.

Other key PP producers in South Korea include Honam Petrochemical, Polymirae and Korea Petrochemical Industry Co.
