SINGAPORE (ICIS news)--Northeast Asia caprolactam contracts for March were largely agreed $40-45/tonne up at $2,455-2,465/tonne on the strength of rising upstream costs, sellers and buyers said on Tuesday.
The settlements were agreed on a CFR (cost and freight) NE Asia (northeast Asia) basis.
February contracts were at $2,410-2,425/tonne CFR NE Asia, down $5/tonne on soft demand.
Key suppliers to Asia include Ube Industries, Sumitomo Chemical, BASF, China Petrochemical Development Corp and DSM Nanjing Chemical.
