India’s MMTC solicits bids for urea import inspection

NEW DELHI (ICIS news)--India's State Trading Corp (STC) is seeking global bids for pre-shipment inspection and testing of urea to be imported in bulk from various countries, the public enterprise said on Tuesday.

It did not disclose the names of countries and companies from which it has either contracted or was in the process of contracting urea supplies.

It also did not reveal the quantities of urea that it was in the process of importing on behalf of the Indian government.

STC has sought bids specifically from internationally reputed inspection agencies that have laboratories and inspection facilities in different countries. The deadline for submission of offers is 31 March.
