LONDON (ICIS news)--The completion date for Quinn’s new methyl methacrylate (MMA) plant in Leuna, Germany, has been put back a year to 2010 due to engineering and delivery delays, the company said on Wednesday.?xml:namespace>
Many of the construction activities planned for 2008 would now take place in 2009, Quinn Chemicals said in a statement.
As well as delays in the completion of detailed engineering, the international market situation was causing bottlenecks in deliveries of equipment.
Over the forthcoming months the Quinn Chemicals team in Leuna would work to finalise all outstanding design and delivery issues, the statement said.
The Quinn Group said that it was fully committed to the completion of the project.
