SAN ANTONIO, Texas (ICIS news)--Indelpro’s polypropylene (PP) plant expansion in Mexico remains on schedule, with new production to begin in mid-May, a company official said on Monday.

The new plant line will have a guaranteed production capacity of 350,000 tonnes/year, with the possibility of exceeding that amount by as much as 28%.
Currently, the Indelpro plant has nameplate capacity of 240,000 tonnes/year, which would increase to 590,000 tonnes/year.
If no delays are encountered during the start-up procedures, the company expects to have on-spec product to sell by the end of May if it encounters no delays during the start-up.
Talancon spoke at the 33rd National Petrochemical & Refiners Association (NPRA) meeting. The meeting began on Sunday and runs through Tuesday.
