SINGAPORE (ICIS news)--The April Asian Contract Price (ACP) for paraxylene (PX) was settled $90/tonne higher from March in line with the earlier settlements by Idemitsu and Exxonmobil, traders said on Tuesday.
The prices were fully settled at at $1,260/tonne CFR (cost and freight) Asia, they added.
The settlement could have taken place earlier on Tuesday but no confirmation was available from the suppliers and buyers concerned as a number of them were attending the 33rd National Petrochemical & Refiners Association (NPRA) conference in San Antonio, US, they said.
PX spot prices in Asia were stable at $1,295-1,310/tonne CFR Taiwan on Tuesday, according to global chemical markets intelligence service ICIS pricing.
The NPRA conference began on Sunday and runs to Tuesday.
