(ICIS news)--A second April European toluene contract has been settled up $50/tonne (€32/tonne) from the midpoint of March settlements, on rising energy values, a producer said on Tuesday.
“We have settled at $970/tonne,” the producer said, adding that the contract had been within expected levels.
Toluene contracts are settled on a free on board (FOB) northwest Europe (NWE) basis.
A first contract had been settled the previous day at $975/tonne FOB NWE, up $55/tonne from the midpoint of the March settlement, at $915-925/tonne FOB NWE.
Players had cited rising energy complex values as the main contributing factor to the increase.
