SHANGHAI(ICIS news)--Lanzhou Petrochemical, a PetroChina subsidiary, started up one of the lines at its new 100,000 tonne/year styrene butadiene rubber (SBR) plant in late March, a company source said on Wednesday.

"This line is running normally at present. The other line will come on stream soon, but the date has not been fixed," he added.

The two lines at the new SBR plant have a capacity of 50,000 tonnes/year each, said the source, adding that trial runs had begun in early March

Lanzhou Petrochemical currently produces 50,000 tonnes of SBR and 15,000 tonnes of NBR annually.
