LONDON (ICIS news)--BASF/Elastogran’s 80,000 tonne/year toluene di-isocyanate TDI plant in Schwarzheide, Germany, has shut down one week ahead of scheduled maintenance shutdown, a company source said on Wednesday.

The early shutdown was attributed to a lack of raw materials at one of the unit’s production lines.

The turnaround was estimated to last three to four weeks, with the plant expected to be operational again by the end of April.

“We expect to have sufficient inventory to keep customers happy,” said a company source.
