SINGAPORE (ICIS news)--Purified terephthalic acid (PTA) maker Samsung Petrochemical has raised its April nominated price by $80/tonne ((€51.20/tonne) from last month amid higher feedstock paraxylene (PX) values, a company source said on Friday.
The South Korean company’s April nomination was pegged at $1,030/tonne (€659/tonne) CFR (cost and freight)
Other major PTA suppliers in
PTA is used to make polyester fibres and yarns and polyethylene terephthalate (PET) chips.
