SINGAPORE (ICIS news)--Taiwan Styrene Monomer Corp’s (TSMC) No 1 unit producing SM has attained normal operations after its restart in the second half of March, a company source said on Monday.

The 180,000 tonne/year unit located in Lin Yuan was taken offline in mid-February for a turnaround. The company operates a second unit at the same location with a capacity of 160,000 tonnes/year.

"There are currently no plans to turn around the second unit this year," he added.

Other Taiwanese SM producers are Formosa Chemical and Fibres Corp (FCFC) and Grand Pacific Petrochemicals Corp (GPPC).
