HOUSTON (ICIS news)--Flint Hills said it would raise Group II paraffinic base oil posted prices in the US for the second time this year effective on Monday.

The hikes were based on high feedstock crude prices and vacuum gas oil (VGO) costs, sellers said.

The 70/75 viscosity will increase by 15 cents/gal to $3.54/gal. The 100 viscosity will also increase by 15 cents/gal to $3.29/gal.

The 230 viscosity will increase by 10 cents/gal to $3.72/gal.

The 600 viscosity will increase by 17 cents/gal to $4.21/gal.

The last increase was on 3 March.

Monday’s increase follows previously announced increases by other Group II producers including Chevron and Calumet on 25 March and 26 March, respectively.

Group II producers ConocoPhillips, Motiva and Valero have not announced any Group II hikes since the first week of March.
