SINGAPORE (ICIS news)--Here is Wednesday’s mid-day Asia oil and chemical market summary from ICIS pricing.
CRUDE: May WTI $108.69/bbl up $0.19/bbl May BRENT $106.69bbl up $0.35/bbl
Crude futures firmed on Wednesday morning in Asia, amid concerns that US inventory data will reveal a decline in gasoline stocks ahead of the domestic driving season.
NAPHTHA: Asian naphtha prices opened slightly softer Wednesday. Second half May prices indications were pegged at $919.25-922.25/tonne CFR (cost and freight) Japan, first half June at $917.50-920.50/tonne CFR Japan and second half June at $915.50-918.50/tonne CFR Japan.
BENZENE: The bid-offer gap was wider on Wednesday morning with an offer heard at $1,100/tonne FOB Korea against a bid at $1,075/tonne FOB (free on board) Korea for big berth any May loading. Prices were $5/tonne lower at $1,085-1,095/tonne FOB Korea.
TOLUENE: No May indications could be located on Wednesday. An offer was heard at $1,025/tonne FOB Korea for any June shipment that met a bid at $1,010/tonne FOB Korea.
