LME Plastics: Global and Asia PP up $30/t

LONDON (ICIS news)--Global and Asia polypropylene (PP) contract prices increased $30/tonne (€19.20/tonne) this week on the London Metal Exchange (LME).

 

PP prices in North American increased $20/tonne, while Europe prices remained unchanged.

 

Linear low density polyethylene (LLDPE) contract prices remained unchanged.

 

The US exported 288,642 tonnes of high density polyethylene (HDPE) during the first two months of 2008, up 25% from the same time last year.

 

Taiwan Polypropylene (TPP) will be merged into the Lee Chang Yung (LCY) group effective on 23 April.
