LME Plastics: Asia propylene hits 16 year high

LONDON (ICIS news)--Global and regional plastics futures prices from the London Metal Exchange are given in the table below. 

 

Asian propylene prices are at their highest in almost 16 years as tight spot availability for May-loading cargoes leave interested buyers with little choice but to accept higher numbers, market sources said on Monday.

 

Polyethylene terephthalate (PET) values in Korea led gains across Asia, boosted by a stronger euro against the dollar and a lack of trade barriers on the country’s exports to Europe, producers and traders on Monday.
