Iran’s Jam Petrochemical begins HDPE exports

SINGAPORE (ICIS news)--Iran's Jam Petrochemical has begun to export high density polyethylene (HDPE) from its recently started 300,000 tonne/year plant in Assaluyeh, a source close to the company said on Tuesday.

 

“No details are available about the export destinations,” the source said.

 

The plant achieved on-spec production in late March, the source added.

 

Jam Petrochemical’s 300,000 tonne/year HDPE linear low density PE (LLDPE) plant and Jam Polypropylene’s 300,000 tonne/year polypropylene (PP) plant, both of which source feedstock from the Jam cracker, were expected to start up in May, the source said.

 

Jam Petrochemical is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Iran’s National Petrochemical Co Jam Petrochemical has a stake in Jam Polypropylene, with private investors holding the remaining stake.
