LONDON (ICIS news)--Arkema has entered into an agreement with UK company Amber Composites to develop nanotubes, the French chemical company said on Tuesday.

The companies are to develop next generation high performance "prepreg" (pre-impregnated) systems based on Arkema’s multi-wall carbon nanotubes and Amber’s proprietary resins, the company added in a statement.

“Lower weight, higher toughness and improved impact resistance are the focus of Amber and Arkema’s development,” it said.

Amber Composites makes materials for the creation of high performance lightweight structures.
