LONDON (ICIS news)--Syria's General Foreign Trade Organisation (GFTO) has awarded its 15 April tender for 160,000 tonnes of various fertilizers, trader sources said on Tuesday.

Under the 75,000 tonne urea tender, trader company Unifert offered 45,000 tonnes at €379.50/tonne ($603/tonne) CFR (cost and freight) bagged, while its subsidiary Promophos offered 30,000 tonnes at €378.90/tonne CFR bagged.

Both traders were awarded at the offer prices and the urea will probably be sourced from Libya.

The tender also included 75,000 tonnes of ammonium nitrate (AN). Unifert was awarded 30,000 tonnes at €276.50/tonne CFR bagged, while Ameropa was awarded the same volume at the same price.

Promophos was awarded 15,000 tonnes, also at the same price.

All AN will be sourced from Russia.

GFTO also tendered for 10,000 tonnes of potassium sulphate (SOP). Unifert was awarded the full volume at €545.90/tonne CFR. The product will be sourced from Belgium.
