Egypt’s Sidi Kerir posts 10% rise in Q1 net profit

SINGAPORE (ICIS news)--Egypt’s Sidi Kerir Petrochemicals reported late on Monday a 10.4% year-on-year rise in its first quarter net profit.

Its net profit for the first quarter to 31 March was E£298.9m ($55.1m), up from E£270.8m in the same period a year earlier, the company said in a brief statement to the Cairo and Alexandria stock exchanges.

The state-controlled ethylene and polyethylene producer, which is 20% privately owned, did not give further details.
