Yangzi Petchem to restart aromatics complex

SHANGHAI (ICIS news)--Sinopec subsidiary Yangzi Petrochemical (YPC) expects to restart its aromatics complex on 25 April following a month-long maintenance shutdown, a company source said on Thursday.

The complex can produce 490,000 tonnes/year of benzene, 200,000 tonnes/year of toluene and 850,000 tonnes/year of xylene.  

Sinopec’s benzene prices have remained stable yuan (CNY)9,100/tonne ($1,304/tonne) ex-works the source added.
