SINGAPORE (ICIS news)--Taiwan’s largest phenol-acetone producer Formosa Chemicals & Fibre Corp (FCFC) restarted its phenol-acetone units in Mailiao earlier this week after a scheduled 40-day maintenance shutdown, a company official said on Thursday.
The plant was currently running at full capacity, the official said, adding that export availability was limited due to low inventory levels.
FCFC operates two phenol-acetone units, with a combined capacity of 400,000 tonnes/year of phenol and 250,000 tonnes/year of acetone.
