The No 2 hydrocracker with a capacity of approximately 14,000 bbl/day and the continuous catalytic reformer with a capacity of 14,500 bbl/day were shut down on 17 April for approximately one month of planned maintenance, the source added.

Products from SRC include liquefied petroleum gas (LPG), chemical naphtha, motor gasoline, kerosene, jet fuel, diesel, low sulphur fuel oil, bunker fuel oil, asphalt and sulphur.

The Pulau Merlimau refinery forms part of Jurong island petrochemicals hub in Singapore and provides feedstock for petrochemical facilities located in the area.
