SINGAPORE (ICIS news)--South Korea’s GS Caltex plans to restart its No 2 paraxylene (PX) line in Yeocheon around mid-May after a month-long scheduled maintenance shutdown, a company official said on Friday.
The PX line was taken offline on 12 April, he said, adding that no maintenance was scheduled for its other two lines, which had turnarounds last year.
GS Caltex produces 1.2m tonnes of PX annually, or about 400,000 tonnes/year for each line.
