AllessaChemie buys Clariant pigments producer

LONDON (ICIS news)--AllessaChemie is to purchase Swiss company Clariant's Reflex Blue business as of 1 July 2008, strengthening its position in pigments, the German chemical company said on Tuesday.

The Reflex Blue brands are primarily used as toning agents for black printing inks.

The two companies have not disclosed any financial details of the sale of the company, which is based in Offenbach, Germany.
