LONDON (ICIS news )--Arab Potash Co (APC) has reached an agreement to supply Indian buyers muriate of potash (MOP) at $625/tonne (€406/tonne) in 2008-2009, a rise of $355/tonne over previous contracts, a report on the company’s website said on Monday.

“APC wishes to seize this opportunity to reiterate its commitment to this market as a principal market which it has been supplying regularly since 1984,” said the statement.
The contracts cover the period May 2008 to March 2009.
The agreements, done on a CFR (cost and freight) basis, followed settlements by Belarusian Potash Co (BPC), Canpotex, Israel Chemicals (ICL), and International Potash Co (IPC), with Indian buyers at the same price.
