SINGAPORE (ICIS news)--Taiwan’s CPC Corp has awarded its tender to buy 30,000 tonnes of N+A naphtha at a discount of $5/tonne to Japan quotes for delivery in the second half of July, industry sources said on Friday.
The tender was awarded on a CFR (cost and freight) Taiwan basis. Seller details remained sketchy. The company sought delivery into Kaohsiung in southern Taiwan over 15-31 July.
The tender had closed on 13 May, and was valid till 14 May.
CPC earlier bought its first cargo of 30,000 tonnes of open spec naphtha direct from India for lifting in early June at a premium of around $8.50/tonne to Middle East quotes FOB (free on board) Chennai.
