NOON SNAPSHOT - Asia Markets Summary

SINGAPORE (ICIS news)--Here is Friday’s mid-day Asia oil and chemical market summary from ICIS pricing.

 

 

CRUDE: June WTI $124.92/bbl up $0.80/bbl July BRENT $123.45/bbl up $0.82/bbl

 

Crude futures made strong gains on Friday morning in Asia. Prices were buoyed by strength in the distillates markets amid strong demand from China and Europe and limited supply.

 

 

NAPHTHA: Asian naphtha prices opened softer Friday. Second half June prices indications were pegged at $1,010.00-1,013.00/tonne CFR (cost and freight) Japan, first half July at $1,010.00-1,013.00/tonne CFR Japan and second half July at $1,010.50-1,013.50/tonne CFR Japan.

 

 

BENZENE: Bids for July cargoes were cited at $1,220-1,227/tonne FOB (free on board) Korea that met an offer at $1,250/tonne FOB Korea. Prices were notionally assessed stable at $1,235-1,250/tonne FOB Korea.

 

 

TOLUENE: Discussions were thin on Friday morning, with a single bid heard for July loading at $1,150/tonne FOB Korea. Prices were notionally pegged stable at $1,150-1,160/tonne FOB Korea.
