MOVES: PetroChina appoints new president

TORONTO (ICIS news)--PetroChina has appointed Zhou Jiping president and vice chairman of the board, effective immediately, the Chinese oil and petrochemicals major said on Friday.

 

Zhou, currently executive director, succeeded Jiang Jiemin, who resigned as president but remained chairman, the company said.

 

Jiang had been president since May 2004.

 

He is also general manager of PetroChina parent China National Petroleum Corp (CNPC), while Zhou serves as CNPC deputy general manager.
