PotashCorp, Chevron donate to earthquake relief

HOUSTON (ICIS news)--Fertilizer producer Potash Corporation of Saskatchewan (PotashCorp) will donate $1m (€650,000) for earthquake relief in China while US energy major Chevron will give $1.4m, the companies said on Friday.

Canada-based PotashCorp said it will donate $1m to the China Charity Federation for use by the Sichuan Charity Federation.

San Ramon, California-based Chevron said it will direct $1.4m to the Sichuan Province Red Cross. Chevron has an interest in the Chuandongbei gas project, which is located in the province.

An earthquake devastated parts of the Sichuan region on Monday.
