SINGAPORE (ICIS news)--South Korea's Lotte Daesan plans to raise operating rates at its cracker during the week and the facility could be running at 100% operation rate by 26 May, a source from the company said on Monday.
"All the furnaces are on stream at the moment but we will start to ramp up the operation rate at one furnace at a time. The cracker will only hit maximum operation rate by 26 May," the source added in Korean.
The company restarted its 1m tonne/year cracker on 14 May at 70% operation rate, after it experienced problems in feeding naphtha into the cracker.
