ICIS Chemease to launch another series of China domestic price assessment reports in English

ICIS pricing, the global market pricing and intelligence service for the oil and chemical industries, and Chemease, a subsidiary of CBI China, China’s domestic commodity market information leader, have joined forces to launch another series of weekly English language pricing reports covering the Chinese market.

ICIS and Chemease will launch another series of dedicated reports covering the Chinese acrylate ester, acrylonitrile, acetone, butadiene rubber, butanediol, bis-phenol A, caprolactam, caustic soda, epoxy resins, expandable polystyrene, epichlorohydrin, oxo-alcohols, phenol, polyether polyols, polyvinyl chloride and sulphur markets in response to increasing demand for domestic price assessments and news on the Chinese market.

Following the successful launch of ABS, acetic acid, acrylonitrile butadiene rubber (NBR), benzene, methanol, mono ethylene glycol, polyethylene, polypropylene, polystyrene, styrene, styrene butadiene rubber (SBR), terephthalic acid (PTA), toluene and xylenes (China) reports, the second series of ICIS Chemease weekly reports continue to provide comprehensive coverage of China’s domestic markets with price assessments in yuan as well as in-depth commentary and analysis of the latest trends and outlook.  ICIS Chemease reports are written by a dedicated editorial team based in the Chemease office in Shanghai, with contributions on regional developments from the experienced editorial team in the ICIS Singapore office.

ICIS pricing’s ( China CFR price assessments are already widely used in the global market as a benchmark for settling transaction prices. Chemease reports are similarly used by industry players as a trusted benchmark in the local market”, said Christopher Flook, Publishing Director.  “The new series of reports covering China is a valuable additional to ICIS’s existing portfolio, as we have been reporting chemical markets in Europe, Asia, Latin America, Middle East and the US for many years. It is key for industry players to read timely, concise, accurate yet comprehensive pricing information to support their decision making in this critical market”.

Based on the ICIS principles of accuracy, independence and impartiality, ICIS Chemease reports continue to provide a common reference point for global businesses to trade with Chinese players. ICIS Chemease weekly reports give unparalleled and authoritative assessments of the market, keeping industry players up to date so that they can make the right decision at the right time.

“I use CBI Chemease to understand the domestic market and ICIS for the global view. This is a great partnership and will help me keep up to date and make timely decisions,” a senior manager from a major trading company based in Shanghai said.
