Brazil may nationalise fertilizer mines - report

HOUSTON (ICIS news)--Brazil may nationalise private mineral deposits used to make fertilizers, Reuters reported on Tuesday.

Reuters quoted Brazil agriculture minister Reinhold Stephanes as saying such action could be used to reduce farm production costs.

Fertilizer prices have doubled over the past year, according to Reuters.
