Aramco sets H2 2008 naphtha at $13-16/t premium

SINGAPORE (ICIS news)--Saudi Aramco, the biggest Middle East naphtha supplier to Asia, is offering its term naphtha supplies for the second half of the year at premiums of $13-16/tonne, industry sources said on Wednesday.

The A-180 light naphtha grade from Ras Tanura was offered at a premium of $16/tonne to its own pricing, Rabigh chemical treated naphtha grade at a premium of $15/tonne, Al-Jubail naphtha grade at premium of $14/tonne and the A-310 splitter grade from Ras Tanura at premium of $13/tonne.  

Pricing for the respective grades were pegged at premiums of $16/tonne, $15/tonne, $13/tonne and $12/tonne for lifting in the first half of this year.

Negotiations had started early this week in London.

Buyers include South Korea's Yeochun Naphtha Cracking Center (YNCC), Taiwan’s Formosa Petrochemical Corp and CPC Corp, and Malaysia’s Titan Chemicals Corp.
