LONDON (ICIS news)--Akzo Nobel is mid-way through its scheduled ethanolamines turnaround at Stenungsund in Sweden, a company source said on Wednesday.

The unit, with a nameplate capacity of 100,000 tonnes/year, started the shutdown around 14 May and was scheduled to restart on 1 June.

All contractual obligations were being met, the source added, but there was no opportunity for spot di-ethanolamines business in an already tight market.

Sasol was also due to commence routine maintenance at its 27,000 tonne/year unit in Marl, Germany in the last week of May for approximately seven days.
