SINGAPORE (ICIS news)--Taiwan VCM plans to shut down its 330,000 tonnes/year vinyl chloride monomer (VCM) plant for scheduled maintenance in July, a source close to the company said on Thursday.
The Kaohsiung-based plant would be shut down for about 20 days beginning early July, the source added.
The plant was last shut down at the start of this year for a one-month maintenance.
Taiwan VCM belongs to Taiwanese plastics manufacturer USI Group and provides feedstock to downstream polyvinyl chloride (PVC) producer Ocean Plastics.
