Praj works on Vivergo's UK bioethanol plant

MUMBAI (ICIS news)--India’s Praj Industries through its subsidiary, BioCnergy has been awarded contract for the supply of equipments for a bioethanol plant being developed in the UK by Vivergo Fuels, , it said in a statement on Thursday.

Valued at Indian rupees (Rs) 1.2bn ($28m/€17.8m) contract, this is the fourth plant Praj has set up in western Europe.

Located at Saltend near Hull, it is designed to produce around 4m litres/year of fuel ethanol, the firm said.

BioCnergy is a joint venture of Aker Solutions and Praj Industries. Vivergo is a JV of BP, British Sugar and DuPont.
