LONDON (ICIS news)--Domo Caproleuna expects to lift the force majeure on caprolactam production at its plant in Leuna, Germany, within the next week, a company source said on Friday.
“The status today is that sulphur is onstream and we hope to be back at full capacity on caprolactam early next week,” the source said, adding “we will lift force majeure sometime next week”.
Domo officially declared force majeure to its customers on 5 May due to “unexpected capital damage” hitting the combustion chamber of its sulphuric acid plant.
Domo produces 100,000 tonnes/year of caprolactam at the Leuna facility, according to ICIS plants and projects.
