LONDON (ICIS news)--Indian Potash Limited (IPL) has finalised a contract for a sizeable volume of Jordanian phosphate fertilizers, Indian trader sources said on Wednesday.

IPL settled its annual contract for 300,000 tonnes of diammonium phosphate (DAP) with Jordan Phosphate Mines Co (JPMC) to be shipped from June to November this year.

The shipments will consist of two 25,000 tonne cargoes per month. The deal was priced on a formula contract basis linked to current market prices.

IPL has had a long-standing agreement to import 300,000-500,000 tonnes/year of DAP from Jordan.

India, which has bought around 3m tonnes of imported DAP so far in 2008, also imports product from the US, China and Russia
