China’s Kaiyue completes 1m tonne/year DME plant

SHANGHAI (ICIS news)--China-based Kaiyue Group has just completed the construction of  a 1m tonne/year dimethyl ether (DME) facility for an investment of  yuan (CNY) 730m ($105m), a company source said on Thursday.

 

“We will first start up one of the two lines in mid to late June and another line will come on stream as soon as the first line operates normally,” the source said in Mandarin.

 

Construction of the project began last August and comprised two 500,000 tonne/year DME lines, he added.

 

The company is located in the northern province of Hebei.
