HOUSTON (ICIS news)--Methanol Holdings (Trinidad) Ltd (MHTL) will begin on Saturday turnaround procedures at its M2 methanol plant in Trinidad & Tobago, the company’s North American marketer said on Thursday.
According to Southern Chemical, the maintenance on the 550,000 tonne/year M2 unit will last 20-25 days.
MHTL operates five units totalling 4.07m tonnes/year capacity at Point Lisas, Trinidad & Tobago, according to ICIS.
In related news, the M5000 plant, MHTL’s largest unit at 1.89m tonnes/year, was restarted last week and is “stable and producing,” the company said.
