SINGAPORE (ICIS news)--Sinopec subsidiary Zhongyuan Petrochemical has shut down its cracker at Puyang in Henan province for a 30-day maintenance starting 3 June, a company source said on Tuesday.
"The cracker will be shut for almost a month and will only be restarted in early July," the source added in Mandarin.
The 200,000 tonne/year cracker was initially scheduled for a July-August turnaround, but the company decided to bring forward the date, the source added but declined to provide the reason for the change in dates.
Beijing Dongfang, another Sinopec subsidiary, is planning a 122-day turnaround at its 160,000 tonne/year cracker starting this month. A total of six crackers at various Sinopec subsidiaries are scheduled for maintenance turnarounds this year.
