Shanghai Petrochemicals plans 4-week turnaround

SINGAPORE (ICIS news)--Shanghai Petrochemical has plans to shut down its No 1 cracker in Jinshan for a month-long maintenance turnaround, a source from the company said on Tuesday.

 

“The company has decided to shut the plant for maintenance, which will start from end of June,” the source said in Mandarin.

 

The 150,000 tonne/year cracker will be shut down in line with Sinopec’s plan to reduce its ethylene output for the month of June to increase production of oil products.

 

 

Shanghai Petrochemical is a subsidiary arm of petrochemical major Sinopec, together with Maoming  Petrochemical and Zhongyuan Petrochemical Co.
