HOUSTON (ICIS news)--Flint Hills Resources’ (FHR) Port Arthur cracker in Texas was offline due to an outage at a Motiva refinery earlier this week, market sources said on Thursday.

Motiva shut down its refinery on Monday due to a power outage. The 285,000 bbl/day unit supplies FHR with steam, sources said.

FHR’s capacity in Port Arthur is 621,000 tonnes/year. An FHR spokesperson declined to comment, citing company policy.

Motiva said its refinery is expected to return to normal operations by Friday.
