SINGAPORE (ICIS news)--US-based specialty chemicals and emulsion polymers manufacturer, OMNOVA Solutions, has increased the price of its styrene butadiene latex (SBR) by $0.20/dry tonne on high energy, raw material and crude costs, it said.
The hike would come into effect from 9 June, the firm added in a statement on its website late on Thursday.
Standard & Poor’s, had recently issued OMNOVA with a negative credit outlook citing continued weaker-than-expected operating performance.
US styrene butadiene producers had recently warned of a sustained rise in prices due to surging feedstock butadiene cost and tight supplies.
