LONDON (ICIS news)--Spain-based chemicals producers are preparing for potential supply disruption when Spanish truck drivers partake in a planned mass strike on Monday, sources said on Friday.
One source in the region said hauliers were already blocking roads in
Dow Chemical and Repsol YPF - which both have large petrochemicals complexes in the country - said they were aware of the situation but could not forecast the extent of the disruption.
“We are working with our teams and the authorities to make the impact as low as possible,” said a spokeswoman from Madrid-Based oil and chemicals group Repsol YPF.
The truck drivers were protesting against high fuel prices.
