MRPL awards term naphtha tender for H2 2008

SINGAPORE (ICIS news)--India's Mangalore Refinery and Petrochemicals Ltd (MRPL) has awarded its term naphtha sell tender for second half of this year, industry sources said on Monday.

The tender was awarded at around $19.50-20.00/tonne to Middle East quotes FOB (free on board) Mangalore to a western trader.

The tender offers 6 cargoes each 30,000 tonnes of naphtha to be lifted over 5-10 of each month during July-December from New Mangalore in the west coast of India. The tender had closed on 5 June, with validity till 6 June.

MRPL previously sold via a spot tender a similar cargo at a premium of around $25.00/tonne to Middle East quotes FOB Mangalore for lifting over 12-14 June.
