SINGAPORE (ICIS news)--Yeochun Naphtha Cracking Center (YN CC) has settled its June butadiene (BD) contract at $2,037/tonne pipeline delivered, up $210/tonne from May, a company official said on Monday.
YNCC, South Korea’s largest olefins producer had settled its May BD contract at $1,827/tonne pipeline delivered.
The YNCC contract formula is linked to Asia spot pricing.
BD spot offers in Asia have soared to $2,400//tonne CFR (cost and freight) northeast (NE) Asia for July shipment, up about $400/tonne in the past month as demand outstripped supply.
