SHANGHAI (ICIS news)--Sinopec subsidiary Maoming Petrochemical has extended the shutdown at its 30,000 tonne/year styrene butadiene styrene (SBS) line on low feedstock from its upstream butadiene plant, a company source said on Tuesday.
"We are not sure when the SBS and BD plants will resume to normal," the source said.The company’s No 1 cracker did not suffer severe damages and was restarted last Thursday, following which its derivate 50,000 tonne/year BD unit was also restarted. Maoming also restarted a 50,000 tonne/year SBS line. The company is located at Maoming city in the southern province of Guangdong. Amber Liu and Helen Yan contributed to this article
