US benzene imports rise in April as exports drop

HOUSTON (ICIS news)--US benzene imports rose in April as exports from the country dropped, according to trade data released by the US International Trade Commission (USITC) on Tuesday.

Total benzene imports in April were at 397m litres, compared with 328m litres in March.

Year-to-date benzene imports were at 1.4bn litres, similar to levels a year earlier.

US benzene exports for April were at 123,000 litres, down from 120,000 litres in March. Year-to-date exports were at 509 litres, down 97% from 15m litres a year earlier.
