HOUSTON (ICIS news)--Exports of methylene chloride for the first four months of 2008 were 19,906 tonnes, or 10% lower than the same period a year before, according to the US International Trade Commission (ITC) on Tuesday.
Exports in April were 5,479 tonnes, 11% less than the 6,170 tonnes exported in March and 33% less than the 8,171 tonnes exported in April 2007.

Prices for methylene chloride were assessed at $926-1,014/tonne (€593-645/tonne) ex-tank for the week ended 3 June, or $88/tonne lower than the price at the end of April, according to global chemical market intelligence service ICIS pricing.
